Weight Loss Experts Say  - You've just started a new exercise routine and eating healthier (after noticing that those jeans did not actually shrink, alas ...), and you are asking yourself an important question: how long does it take to lose weight ?

Is it a few days? Please, I hope you do. A few weeks? Some months?

To find the answer we all want to know, The Huffington Post Australia talked to two health experts say - sports nutritionist and dietician  Robbie Clark and Coach Daine McDonald.

"Psychologically speaking, to loss weight you have to burn more calories (through physical activity) than those you consume or drink," Clark told Huff Post Australia.

"Basic body functions (breathing, neural function, cell production, blood circulation and body temperature maintenance) use 50% to 70% of your calories or energy. The speed at which your body uses calories / energy for basic functions of the resting body is called the Basal Metabolism Rate (TMB). "

Additional factors that strongly determine your BMR include genes, age, sex, and body composition.

"So much of your energy use is predetermined," explains Clark. "However, the amount of energy you burn every day also depends on how much exercise you do [intensity, type and duration]."

If we consume more than our bodies need over a period of time, this becomes weight gain.

While this is up to each individual, since each person's body and goals are different, if you start exercising three times a week and eat healthy, you may find that you lose weight fast.

"There is no calculation for this because each individual is distinct from the other and the way each individual's body responds to exercise will be different as well," said Clark.

If an individual is overweight and has more weight to lose than the average person who wants to eliminate five pounds, he can lose a greater amount of weight faster, Clark explained. However, this loss can be a combination of fluid loss and fat loss.

"Someone who started exercising three times in a week and then a healthy diet should expect to lose one pound in 1½ to 2 weeks," he said. "It also depends on the type of exercise you are doing and the duration and intensity of your workout." check last post about food consumption
